Donald Joseph Kuhns
On October 2, 2014, at approximately 10:02 PM, officers with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office responded to 29 Johnny Walker MHP. Upon arrival, officers found Johnny Dockery, age 47, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Dockery was transported by Alexander County EMS to Iredell Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Officers determined that Donald Joseph Kuhns, age 55, of Johnny Walker MHP was responsible for the shooting. Kuhns was arrested and taken into custody, where he was charged with murder. No bond was set. It appears that the cause of the incident was a civil dispute between Dockery and Kuhns. The investigation is ongoing.
