David Alan Johnson
The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office has captured the man they say held up the People’s Bank branch in Hiddenite on Tuesday, December 10th. The suspect has been identified as David Alan Johnson, white male, age 37 of Smith Barnette RD in Taylorsville. Johnson was arrested at the Bojangle’s restaurant located near the Granite Falls Wal-Mart around 5:00 p.m. today without incident on outstanding charges of Common Law Robbery.
The arrest comes after an extensive investigation that has been ongoing since the robbery occurred earlier this week. Sheriff Chris Bowman expressed his sincere gratitude to the members of the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, the Granite Falls Police Department, and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation for their help in apprehending David Allen Johnson. As of press time, bond information and an updated photo of David Johnson was not available. This information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
